Welcome to my books. I write Romance with a Jewish flavor. My faith is more than simply a religion, it's a culture, and it permeates everything I say and do. It's who I am, and I add that flavor to my books. Meshugenah: Meshugenah is an approximately 80,000 word, single-title Romance with Paranormal Elements. Coffee shop owner Shayna Adamson's life was perfect, until her mother leaves her father and moves in to Shayna's 600-sq. ft. apartment. When her grandmother decides to visit as well, the event releases the energy of an old family prophecy. Now her cafe has become the place to find a love match, things blow up every time her mother tries to marry her off, and Mom and Bubbe may just be bringing a little too much of that old, Jewish magic into Shayna's life. Shayna has a plan, and uptight attorney Nathan Miller - the man her mother calls a "nice, Jewish man" - is the perfect man for the job. All she has to do is pretend she and Nate are a couple long enough to move the matriarchs back to their respective homes, keep the cafe in one piece and maintain her sanity, then she'll be home free. All she wants is her old, quiet life back; or so she thinks until she finds herself falling for Nate. Shayna has her work cut out for her, and no amount of coffee and rugelach can fix this mess. **** Too Much Information: As a child, travel writer Devora Martin dreamt she had superpowers. Years later, her dreams have turned to reality, becoming her greatest nightmare. Cursed with the ability to hear others' thoughts, and unable to mute the volume, she seeks refuge in her apartment, leaving only on rare occasions. Griffin Coen has spent most of his life photographing the world, from luxurious resorts to remote villages. But following an accidental shooting during an assignment, he's forced to return home to recuperate. When Devora's reclusive actions threaten her job and independence, she begrudgedly accepts a job writing a colum with Griffin, who isn't shy about voicing his opinions regarding her alleged abilities - or delusions, as he refers to them. The catch? They must travel through Europe as a couple -something Devora dreads, knowing what happens when she gets too close to anyone. But she soon discovers that she doesn't need her abilities to tap into Griffin's inner mind, as he is the only person she's ever been unable to read. Before long, the two find themselves on a journey of a lifetime. One where the road just might lead them to their destiny. **** If you are an editor or agent interested in reading any of the above manuscripts, please contact me at: erin@erineisenberg.net |
